Help Your Children Succeed in Life by Training and Strengthening Their Brains

I want to use these blogpost to showcase interesting articles and information about social groups which are of interest to our clients. Periodically, I’ll be updating these and posting new materials. So by all means, consider visiting here before or between visits and see if some new information really speaks to you.

Today, I’d like to bring to your attention an interesting Article by Victoria Prooday at YourOT.com:
( https://yourot.com/parenting-club/2016/5/16/why-our-children-are-so-bored-at-school-cant-wait-and-get-so-easily-frustrated?utm_campaign=shareaholic&utm_medium=facebook&utm_source=socialnetwork will open in a new page )

In this article, a very important point is brought to light:

The brain is just like a muscle that is trainable and re-trainable. If you want your child to be able to bike, you teach him biking skills. If you want your child to be able to wait, you need to teach him patience.  If you want your child to be able to socialize, you need to teach him social skills. The same applies to all the other skills. There is no difference!

You can make a difference in your child’s life by training your child’s brain so that your child will successfully function on social, emotional, and academic levels.

Our children and our families are so vital to our lives. If you feel this article has touched you or given you something to think about, please don’t hesitate to reach out and let me know. Together we can build a brighter tomorrow.
